How to Zip Your Project Files
When uploading your Scratch or Python projects, we need you to send them as a .zip file. This helps us receive all the files correctly — whether you’re sending one project or many.
You can zip one or more project folders, or select individual files, and combine them into a single .zip file to upload.
For Windows
-
Select your files or folders
Hold Ctrl and click to select multiple items. -
Right-click on one of the selected items and choose:
Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder -
A new .zip file will appear.
Rename it if you like, then upload it to the form.
For Mac
-
Select your files or folders in Finder
Hold Command and click to select multiple items. -
Right-click (or control + click) on one of the selected items and choose:
Compress X Items -
A new file ending in .zip will appear.
That’s the one to upload!
For Chromebook
-
Open the Files app and select the files or folders you want to send.
Hold Ctrl and click to select more than one. -
Right-click and choose:
Zip selection -
A zipped file will appear in the same location.
Upload that file in the form.
Tips
-
You can select multiple Scratch or Python projects at once.
-
If you’re uploading Scratch files (.sb), Python files (.py), or screenshots, just zip them all together.
